Shiny is an application building package in R that allows experienced users to create full-fledged data visualization dashboards. This ShinyApp was tailored for visualizing sales of every single video game released until 2016.
Sales are reflected by the y-axis and can be broken down by regional sales. The x-axis determines the visualization:
1. By choosing IGN rating, a scatterplot appears.
2. By choosing Year, a line chart appears with forecasting options between ARIMA and Exponential Smoothing models. Forecasts may not be very insightful due to the lack of seasonality in the data.
In addition, there are intuitive filters that limit the data being shown in the visual.
